Our founders, Rose and Michael, were true believers in giving back and we proudly carry on this family tradition. We are actively involved in our community and support over 100 local and national charities. From the Ronald McDonald House Charities to our support of the Forest Hills Little League (proud sponsors since 1953!), we are committed to helping organizations that improve and enrich the lives of others. Each year, we host annual food and clothing drives that help several local charities including One Warm Coat, the Bowery Mission, the Food Bank for New York, and City Harvest of New York.
A Cause Close to Our Hearts In 2010 Michael C. Fina became a national corporate sponsor of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's annual Light the Night Walk. Charlie Fina, son of Rose and Michael Fina, was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia in 2007 and after nearly a two year battle, he passed away in May 2009. In honor of Charlie, we raise hundreds of thousands of dollars each year for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and participate as a company in their annual walk.
We encourage our employees to give back to those charities close to their hearts as well by providing a donation match program. Through volunteerism, and financial and in-kind gifts, every year Michael C. Fina extends support to many organizations, such as:
